ABOUT KELSEY ROWE HEIKKINEN
I'M LISTENING
I'm an enthusiastic and adaptable professional with knowledge across retail, tax preparation, sales, and technical roles! From stocking shelves to thriving as a wire technician, my journey showcases my passion for tackling challenges head-on. My diverse career reflects my commitment to serving our community with a flexible, problem-solving approach. Beyond my professional endeavors, I have an immense love for dogs, backed by my training as a Canine Specialist, certified AKC groomer, and APDT dog trainer. I’m also proud to nurture a young adult who is becoming an informed future voter, instilling in them the significance of civic engagement. When I'm not working, I dive into new subjects that fuel my love for learning. My husband and I share a vibrant passion for swing dancing, adding a joyful spark to our lives! With a strong commitment to growth, I strive to connect with others, understand their needs, and bring fresh perspectives to every project, all in support of our community's bright future. In 2012, I canvassed Colorado's neighborhoods to champion Amendment 64, advocating for the legalization of recreational marijuana to boost our state's tax revenue! We achieved an incredible % support, leading to over $3 billion in funding. However, only about 10% have reached our classrooms. As your No Labels governor candidate, I'm dedicated to reclaiming those funds, redirecting them from bureaucratic waste to strengthen education, repair roads, and support rural transportation! My "I'm Listening" campaign is all about accountability! I've heard your frustrations: the billions from Amendment 64 aren’t reaching or fixing those potholes. With my Colorado Taxpayers’ Efficiency Task Force, I’ll audit the money’s journey and its reallocated to rebuild our education system, fix I-70, and uplift rural communities. My door-to-door in 2012 taught me what Coloradans truly want, and I’m ready to fight for your tax dollars to work for you, not special interests.
